The second installment of this series continues with even more personal choice selections and fresh new releases. Traditionally, a lot of quality tunes are pushed out as we head towards the end of the year but only a handful get noticed.
This edition we unearthed a few fairly new-to-the-scene names like Faruk Sapan, The Fraction and Erander. Also top tunes from rising names like Fast Distance, Adam Nickey and Cold Blue.
Included are also several mash-ups and bootlegs as well as a couple of familiar tunes that have been given some new reworkings. My all-time favourite "The Legacy" gets new life in a more Progressive vein. And the show would not be complete without paying tribute to this year's No.1 DJ with a unreleased cut from his current album; as well as the John Askew tune which hit me nerve-centre at first listen.
Till the next one... Happy X'mas & A Merry New Year :)

Progressions
Progressions saw the day of light in 2003 when Centro 360 wanted to create a localized club night to be held at the club monthly. It was styled very much in the same vein as Godskitchen and Gatecrasher... where by the music championed would be anything from breaks to progressive house to quality trance.
The success of the debut gig was a sheer indication of the team's direction, which hit dead centre with what the clubbing community was starving for... a feel-good vibe and a musically-focused event.
From there forth, spearheaded by Singapore's pioneering progressive trance deejay Yukun, Progressions became a monthly highlight at Centro 360. It eventually spawned another locally created brand night called Space 2020 which had Yukun sparring off with his international counterparts. Both events saw high revenue earned for the club.
With the closure of Centro 360, Liquid Room seized the opportunity to offer themselves as the new home of Progressions. They were right on the money...
Progressions next moved to the defunct Onyx at One Fullerton and continued it's successful reign as the country's most consistent and prominent brand night.
Late 2005, the Progressions team decided to bring the event "underground". The crew, made up of personels who has the experience of setting up clubs as well as club operations, delivered four highly successful Progressions : Underground events. Many regulars dubbed this series as "raw and alive". Financially, the team finally began enjoying their fruits of labour.
2006 saw the brand name returning to the club level with a string of events held at the underground club Barbaablackchic.
The brand took new flight in 2007 when Ministry Of Sound (Singapore) signed them up exclusivey for bi-monthly club nights. Together with his long-time business partner, Yukun and P@t both brought the brand name to a whole new dimension with a string of talented DJs under their roster.
Progressions will continue to grow from strength to strength with their dedicated and ever growing followers supporting it everywhere it goes. The snowballing success is due to the fact that the brand has never once undelivered with it's almost foolproof formula and has always keep the initial goal!
